Autumn Vibes

Many others have said it before, this is true. To. It's. Name! Cold, wet soil, slightly bitter rotting wood and leaves from the herbal notes, lightly spicy warmth brought about by the pink pepper with nutmeg and cardamom also contributing to the slightly spicy warmth and sweetening (though just a tad! This scent is not sweet) the cold, damp soil up a bit for the dappled sunshine of an autumn day, absolutely amazing scent profile! Lasting power isn't ideal though, as is sillage, which might be a good thing if this is a scent that you personally like but it's not for everyone. Be wary though, not blind buy safe unless you absolutely know you love the scent of the dirty parts of nature.

Someone described this as wet leaves smell in the forest. I grew up in New England and this perfume epitomizes for me New England fall. A walk in the forest on a cool crispy sunny day after the rain, looking all the leaf colors. I first had a sample and just had to get a full bottle. I also love MM's Lazy Sunday Morning and By The Fireplace (both very different scents). Autumn Vibes for me is a quintessential fall fragrance. It is very unisex. Last fall I wore it almost every day, especially on rainy days. I switched to By The Fireplace around Christmas. Again, you have to like woody spicy scents to appreciate this one.

I really like this scent because it captures the idea of walking through a forest in autumn very well. The main notes I get when I smell are wet earth, leafs/ foliage and woods. This is definitely not a scent for everybody, it has a very earthy feel and as it dries down the earthy feel doesn’t go away. It lasts a good amount of time on my skin. While it’s a unisex scent, I would argue it does lean on the masculine side. It smells synthetic but not in a bad way. It’s a good choice if you want a scent for autumn/ cooler weather that isn’t sweet or gourmand. Overall 8/10

I bought this perfume before I went to New York City in the fall. I wore it while I was there, and now I associate it with walking through Central Park in November and looking at the trees and their beautiful fall colors. When I first smelled it, my immediate thought was that it smells like decaying wet leaves and dirt with a hint of grass. It is cozy, one of my favorite perfumes. I have never smelled the pickle note that people mention. I love to wear it before bed and reminisce about walking through Central Park in November with colorful leaves falling around me.

I've tested a handful of MM Replica fragrances, and this is the one that evokes its inspiration the best. It's also their most interesting. Woody, spicy, resinous, green, leafy, a bit piney. It bears some resemblance to Santal 33, but this fragrance is a bit sweeter. I don't get the dill pickle / pencil shaving associations, but not everyone will appreciate this niche-style scent profile, so as usual, test it before buying it. It is a personal bubble EDT, so you can wear it at work. It leans masculine, and in my opinion, it deserves a better rating.
