I refused to write a review on this when I first bought it. It was, at first, a blind buy failure of my first "niche" fragrance. It was too dry and smoky for my taste. Too much like catholic church with the priest swinging the smoldering incense pot, the thin sickly sweet smoke tickling your nostrils. So it sat in my cabinet, pushed further and further back, replaced by newer bottles of more mass appealing scents and other nice blind but failures that came and went. And then, for some reason, I thought about this fragrance and thought, "Let me revisit this when I get home!" And sure enough, I recognized the genius in this fragrance. I'm sure it was simply me maturing in my fragrance preferences, but it's sweet and smoky and it perfectly embodies its name. It's practically a journey in a borne, where you can close your eyes and envision a market in the Moroccan desert. While it's still not a scent i will likely ever wear, i can fully admit, as described in the "Pros" section, it is wearable olfactory art. It's a masterpiece, even if it's not my cup of tea, and that says a lot about how well crafted this fragrance is. It's certainly not blind buy safe, but it is worth trying.

This was absolute love at first smell for me. The complexity of this is incredible - I find that the scent is both addictive and constantly shifting as it dries down, each time I go back to smell my arm I pick up something different. For me it’s completely atmospheric and transports me back to an evening on a trip to Egypt (haven’t visited Morocco) - I know logically the scent isn’t that, but somehow it transports me there emotionally. I also tried Au Coeur Du Desert in the same week and after a few wearings of each I personally preferred this. It’s drier and somehow feels more unique to me. This was a cozy at home evening scent for me, I loved wearing it to bed. I’m not sure exactly what setting I would choose to wear this out and about, as for me it doesn’t quite feel like an everyday scent, probably better suited to evenings but could work for daytime use on the right person. I think in particular I love the dry spiciness of this because so many scents are doing the spicy-sweet thing these days - this will definitely stand out.
There are scents that capture a moment, and in L'air du desert Marocain is clear that Tauer found a magic combination of notes that creates a special story, The scent is splitted in Three in the best way possible, There is a straight Citrus that is combind with Coriander Cumin and Lavander wich gives a first burst of whats to come, but is not directly pleasant, as in any good scent the unbalance create interests and here is masterfully done. Labdanum and Geranium follows the scent into a floral aspect that make the scent elegant and "Pleasing" to the nose, but is strongly connected to the bottom, You can virtually " see" the layers, one is interconnected with other, the sky, the sand, and the ground, "L'air" itself is fresh (in warm weather) ,and the sand is dry, but the ground is deep not fully dark and a bit wet, amber like, is truly a great scent to at least try to inject knowledge to your nose. Andy is capturing the air above the beautiful landscape frozen in time.
I thought this might be a bit masculine but my teenage son thinks it's more feminine, so I guess it's fairly unisex. I really love this one. Initial impressions are of pleasant warm holidays. Dries down to a sweet patchouli. I wish the dry-down was more interesting and kept more of the spices that are there at first. The smell lasts beautifully on some fabrics though, keeping all of the spice and deliciousness for days. I sprayed it on a hoodie and really enjoyed it. Probably going to buy this one but I have more samples to go through before deciding. If it didn't dry down to be so simple and sweet, it would be a definite buy for me.
At the very first whisper—the exact second it touches your skin—it transports you to a night walk across the mystical, endless Moroccan desert. A dry, warm wave of dried coriander, cumin, and lightly smoked spices instantly wraps around you. Completely unlike typical sweet or fresh openings, this fragrance greets you with a bold, uncompromising character. As time passes, the amber and rich resinous notes seamlessly merge with the noble dryness of cedarwood. The trail it leaves in the air is like a warm desert wind swirling around you; mysterious, deep, and absolutely inimitable.
