Atomic Rose

For some reason i don't tend to enjoy rose much, i blind bought Rose de Taif PMC about two years ago and i've yet to recoup on that loss .. however, this is by far the most acceptable form of rose i've encountered. I'll say things that aren't in the note pyramid because i always say what i smell not what i see .. this hits me like a fougère rose .. almost feels like the rose is enveloped in aromatics .. which evens out the green edges associated with the rose notes i don't like .. now looking at the pyramid i don't know if thats just me not picking up on the spices well .. and mistaking a spicy/citrusy opening for that feeling .. and obviously with the vanilla it's slightly sweet but this is where im confused again .. i get sandalwood .. in the base ... which ALSO doesn't seem to exist in the note breakdown .. i'll have to give it another wear tomorrow to make sure im not hallucinating these notes .. anyway, overal it's a pleasant scent .. i still don't think it has sold me on to rose, say the way Prada L'homme has sold me iris. I'm still looking for that feeling with rose.

This IS NOT A DELINA DUPE. it may fill a sort of Delina space if you don’t do much perfume analysis. It’s much ‘rosier’, somewhat more old fashioned, I feel there is a hint of the oud chord in the mid. Not nearly as distinctive and downright sexy as Delina, which screams unfettered that you are out on the hunt with your eyes narrowed to slits and you don’t believe in sleep. Atomic Rose is bright hot red not flouro barbie pink. Nonetheless it’s a beautiful rose perfume, modern, grippy, frantic. I just used the last of my sample to write this, and am already planning at least a large decant, because it is beautiful and distinctive and unforgettable. I would dare say you could blind buy it if you love heart slashing roses, and it’s more unisex than Delina. But Delina is in my desert island box, this is in my love it box…

Atomic Rose from Initio is one of the better rose fragrances I've experienced. I will preface by saying I'm not partial to rose forward fragrances but with that being said there have been a few that I enjoyed but still couldn't commit to purchasing a full bottle for regular rotational wear. Atomic Rose wore very light and fresh to my nose and the rose was not overwhelming. This felt like the most casual of the three I've found to be wearable. If your curious about which three im referring to it would be Initio's Atomic Rose, Impadia from BDK Parfums, and Radical Rose Extrait from Matiere Premiere. All three differ in scent profile, and performance and I think they even may be suited for different occasions. I would recommend checking out those three if they sound interesting to you.

Gorgeous. I am wearing a sample of this today and I love it. It's overwhelming but in a good way, like I am just totally surrounded by fresh roses and warmth. "Atomic" is an apt name. I love the undertones of amber and pepper. I have commented on this before, but there is a trail near my house that I have always loved walking, and there's some kind of wild grass that grows there that has a natural, peppery scent to it that I'm in love with, so when I find a fragrance that has that note, it instantly makes me want to buy it. I experienced something similar with Alien by Mugler, which is a different type of floral, but warm and floral all the same. I would like to add this one to my collection. Pretty huge projection so I might want to be mindful about where I wear it!

A gorgeous dewy, syrupy rose fragrance. Although it carries a bright, uplifting presence, the fragrance wears quite thickly on skin. To me, this smells like if you took Rooh Afza and made it slightly brighter and slightly more airy. I like to think the bergamot and pink pepper keep this fragrance from being too sweet, but I can see how, to some, it may come across as sickly. If rose is what you're after, that is exactly what you'll get from this fragrance. Although I think this would smell beautiful on a woman, I believe this fragrance has its place on a man as well. This scent does justice to rose fragrances, and with its ravishing presence, makes itself a staple in that category.
