I once tried Reflection on a paper strip and realized it was a very nice fragrance. Maybe not for me perhaps a bit too light for my taste but objectively a beautiful scent. The next time, I tested it on skin … and I regretted it. This fragrance simply wasn’t for me, and it even started to bother me after a while. So, after several months had passed and I came across it again, I decided to give it one more chance. But right next to it, I noticed Reflection 45 a version I didn’t even know existed. After smelling the original Reflection from the bottle and dismissing it, I sprayed a bit of the new one on my skin, with some hesitation, thinking it might be stronger and potentially overwhelming after half an hour. But the opposite happened. The fragrance was intriguing. Maybe it still didn’t feel entirely “mine,” but it clearly had something special. So, a week later, I returned and tried it again. Revelation. An incredible fragrance and what quality! A completely different level. This is Amouage in terms of both quality and execution.

I have already left my review of this masterpiece of a fragrance, but I wanted to let you guys know about something I happened across. As good as this one is and while longevity is great also, projection is significantly subdued compared to the original. I've been trying to find a fragrance that I could layer, something that I rarely ever do, in order to boost the projection and the white florals that the original has but this one doesn't. Basically keep all the best things about this version and all the best parts of the original and combine them. I think I have found it. If you lay one spray on of Invictus Victory Absolu and then a spray of this fragrance on top, its about as close as you can theet to the original while still maintaining the much richer base of the extrait. It's really quite good and I highly recommend giving it a try!!!
I have so many different fragrances in my collection, but this is the one that truly feels the most "me". Sadly its also expensive af so I cant truly make it my signature daily scent, and I intend on keeping this bottle for years to come (decades even?) so I use it sparingly. Its completely masculine and completely soft at the same time, just the most elegant refined version of clean laundry you could imagine. Perfectly balanced in every way. Its actually kind of frustrating that I've had this for over a year, and I've gone down the rabbit hole of sampling so many different things since, and almost nothing has come close to this. I could've ended this search a long time ago. Oh well. I'll keep cycling through the other dozens of scents I have, but this one will remain king.
A rare example of a fragrance that deserves a 10/10. I've owned this for three years, and agree with the influencer Omar's take that there's something billionaire-ish about it. Incredibly high quality ingredients, and the fresh, floral, ambery scent is so much better than the typical cologne that you almost feel like you're discovering a new kind of substance. My only complaints about it are that it's not quite as long-lasting as I'd like, and the concentration of perfume oil is so high that it's a little hard to wear with long-sleeve shirts; the oil gets absorbed by your clothes, or else can stain a nice button-down if you spray near your neck. This isn't the most practical cologne, that is, and it's very expensive. But if you haven't experienced it, don't miss it.
I've worn Reflection 45 Man a few times now. I would consider it a very, almost mass appealing fragrance to most and like the comments said here, "office safe". It can be worn in warm weather as the Iris, Jasmine, and Neroli make it feel like a lighter wear. Still, if oversprayed it can be cloying if you get too hot; you'll know its an Extrait when its emanating off your pulse points. For my nose the opening of Lavender, Pink Pepper, Cardamom, and Benzoin is apparent. But after 30 minutes it begins to transition to the Iris where it then rests to a base of Sandwalwood, Cedar, Patchouli, Vetiver and Powdery notes. Probably the easiest high end niche fragrance I have to wear. Genuinely this could be a 10/10 fragrance.
