Gold Intensive Aoud

Mancera Gold Intensitive Aoud EDP opens with a moderate projection of sweet, floral, fine woods, and spicy notes. The opening is bold, elegant, inviting, mature, and natural. The rose, woody notes, and saffron are the opening prominent notes. The rose note creates a feminine, sensual, sweet, and dense floral note, evocative of red roses. The guaiac wood, teak wood, and precious woods create a blond woody, slightly smoky-leathery, rich, and fine wood-like accord, far from pungent or animalic. The saffron is a step behind with a bittersweet, leathery, soft, earthy, and spice note. The white musk and ambergris are support notes, they seat a few steps behind the rose and woods, their musky notes aren’t offensive, they work as projecting accord. The fragrance is relatively linear, the lemon and watery notes are a faint touch that surfaces as soon as the fragrance is applied but dissipates almost immediately. Once Mancera Gold Intensitive Aoud EDP has reached its full dry down it can be summarized as a moderate projection, sweet, floral, rose, fine-precious woods, teak wood, and spicy saffron fragrance with some musky accords. The fragrance feels mild, casual, modern, comforting, refined, delicate, dense, elegant, exotic, expensive, floral, formal, high-quality, inviting, long-lasting, mature, natural, nicely-blended, nocturnal, rich, simple, sweet, unisex, warm, woody, and very pleasant.

Expected more from this but its still very nice and the dry down is more interesting, strong sweet rose to start off but not heavy like a montale. I found that after about 5 or 6 hours later the smell of a typical rose oud came out and the smell intensified somewhat, reminded me of a stronger Maubussin Crystal oud at that point. which unlike Gold intensitive is very linular until the end. good longevity with this and good projection. could still get the rose vibe on my clothes next morning but only slight. would i buy again ? not really as i already have a few rose perfumes and i prefer darker rose and mild oud. leans more femanine i think until the 5 hour mark then more masculine

This is amazing! I had never smelled such a realistic saffron in a fragrance. Sounds just like the exotic and unique flavor I can feel when chewing a few pistils. I have the impression that this saffron defines all the golden potential of the fragrance. There's also a watery, mushroom-like touch that intertwines the top notes with teak wood in an exquisite way. Culturally, the rose is understood, in Brazil, as the smell of grandmas. So unfortunately this fragrance is not well accepted. Even being young I use it with great pleasure. The woods of this fragrance are sophisticated and leave the result perfectly unisex. It will always remain in my collection.

i am a fan of all the mancera line.. when it comes to oud based perfumes made out side the middle east or the far east , i think they(mancera) have got it right...very fine.. very sophisticated ..not vulgar in any way ..extremely sultry.. and velvety.. very full.. round.. full bodied ..perfect for winter ..the oud and rose complement each other in unimaginable ways ..its as close as you can get to authentic oud and taif rose authentic oil Arabian elixirs from Riyadh the heart of Arabia ..where the queens and princes all smell like this.. with the addition of saffron and musk and ambars and cambodian ouds..

Unlike some beast-mode Manceras, Gold Intensitive Aoud will not assault your nose. It performs well (longevity of 8+ hours and moderate projection). It's a fairly traditional Amber/Oud/Rose Water/Saffron combo that's clean, soft, relatively light/fresh for this rype of fragrance, and very wearable, with a bit of Lemon on top, and a Geranium note that is noticeable on my skin, giving the composition a subtle green aromatic touch. It's office-safe, unisex, and you csn wear it all year-round.
