Bade'E Al Oud Amethyst

Smoother and more pleasant Atomic Rose. If you’ve seen some of my reviews, you know that I think Atomic Rose is pretty good, but it’s way too feminine for my taste. This fragrance not only makes it a lot more affordable, but they make it more unisex. I think a man can pull off Atomic Rose, but only if they absolutely love it, but with Bade’e Al Oud Amethyst, it’s definitely much easier for men to wear. Now I’ve tried 7 Lattafa fragrances (Khamrah and Khamrah Qahwa, and all 5 Bade’e Al Oud fragrances) and they’re yet to miss. Noble Blush is a good fragrance, but it’s made for women, so of course it’s super fem. I still like the smell, and I’m sure it would smell great on the ladies. But anyways, this review is for Amethyst, not Noble Blush. Amethyst is a great bang for your buck fragrance if you think Atomic Rose is too feminine or too ‘atomic’, give this a try.

This fragrance is a brilliant revelation for those who believe they dislike oud, proving the ingredient can share the spotlight rather than overpower. The fragrance opens with a sharp, evident pink pepper alongside a rustic, animalic oud. As it evolves, it transitions into the comforting embrace of a highly complex rose contrasting with that dark, resinous woody base. This exotic undertone never truly fades, acting as a mysterious foundation for the opulent floral heart throughout its incredible lifespan of over 12 hours. It perfectly mirrors the image of a massive, tough-looking motorcyclist in a heavy leather jacket evoking a rugged American highway biker who is secretly a tender, devoted family man who melts instantly in the presence of his little daughter.

This perfume leans more feminine when you first spray it. Very jammy, sweet rose with that precious oud. As you can imagine it is very synthetic. After some maceration, it's not as jammy. At first the smell of the rose was a bit overwhelming but I grew to like it pretty quickly. It becomes just slightly less sweet and the oud becomes stronger and more unisex in my opinion. I think that's where the "gasoline" smell is coming from with some people. Either they received fakes or they are interpreting the rose notes as gasoline like, because the rose in this is extremely sweet, almost to the point of smelling like a berry jam. Lasts practically all day on skin and on clothes. I absolutely love this scent, and will be buying another one when this bottle runs out.

Clone of Initio Parfums Prives Atomic Rose. This is a jammy rose. It kicks off with pink pepper and an obvious rose, but that rose gets jammy and almost strawberry preserves fruity as it moves into the heart. There's a bit of oud in the base, but it's in the background and feels more structural than anything, complimenting the vanilla/amber combo. A few weeks ago I experienced a slight rubber/gasoline in late open/early heart from the oud, but that has since faded/smoothed out so if you get the sensation don't freak out...give it a couple weeks. Also, this is one to go light on the sprays as it is a beast. I only hit torso and arms, but even then that was probably too much. I'm power-blasting rose right now.

This is a great jammy rose fragrance that's easy to wear for a man. It smells so beautiful and fresh and is great for any occasion. Smells just like a beautiful sweet rose. There really isn't much oud in this, it definitely leans more towards rose. It doesn't really smell like Atomic Rose to me, that has less rose and more jasmine. This interpretation kind of does its own thing, with less focus on the Jasmine and an overdose of that amazing rose.
